Every mentor passes a multi-stage screen: credential verification, subject test in their discipline, written sample review, and a mock mentoring session with our Editorial team. We re-check performance every quarter based on student feedback and revision rates. You can request a CV summary of your assigned mentor before confirming the engagement.

Yes. MAAS treats your identity, university, and engagement details as confidential by default: • Mentors never see your real name or institution unless you choose to disclose. Engagements are routed through internal IDs. • Email, phone, and chat data are stored encrypted and never shared with third parties. • Engagement materials (briefs, drafts, mentor feedback) are deleted from our active systems 90 days after delivery unless you request earlier deletion. Engagement pricing reflects four variables: • Academic level, Undergraduate, Master, or PhD. Higher levels need more senior mentors. • Service tier, full mentor-led coaching (Outline → Draft → Final cycle), structural advisory, or editorial review only. • Scope, total word count, number of chapters / sections, complexity of methodology or data analysis. • Deadline, engagements under 72 hours carry a rush surcharge; 7+ days gets the standard rate. After you share your brief, a consultant returns a fixed quote within 30 minutes, no hidden fees added later. Scholarship discounts available for verified PhD candidates and repeat clients.

Yes. Every MAAS engagement is scoped to a 3-tier target grade that you set at booking: • Pass tier, material reaches a clear pass against your university's rubric. • Merit tier, material reaches the merit / 2:1 band. • Distinction tier, material reaches distinction / 1st-class band. If the final submitted work does not reach the agreed tier, the first remedy is unlimited free revisions within the 45-day follow-up support window. If revisions cannot close the gap because the original brief or rubric was misjudged on our side, a partial or full refund applies, calculated against the engagement type and stage of revision. Conditions: this assumes you submit the materials as the mentor delivered them and engaged with feedback through the Outline → Draft → Final cycle. Grades cannot be guaranteed if the work is materially altered after delivery without consulting the mentor, or if the brief shared at booking did not reflect the actual rubric. Quality is checked at three points, not one: • Mentor selection, every mentor is screened against your specific brief before assignment. Not all mentors in the network are right for every engagement. • In-cycle review, at each Outline → Draft → Final milestone, our Editorial QA team reviews against the brief, the target rubric, formatting (APA, MLA, Harvard, Chicago, IEEE, Vancouver), academic tone, and source quality. • Pre-delivery check, final materials run through industry-standard originality screening and a senior mentor signs off before handover. Only work that passes all three checks is delivered. We track every engagement's revision rate and grade outcome to keep mentors accountable.

Revision cover depends on which service you booked. On Academic Support and Exam Support, revisions are free and unlimited inside a warranty window that runs 45 days from submission on every tier. On advisory engagements — Academic Mentoring, Publishing Advisory, Admissions Consulting and PhD Application Strategy — revision rounds sit inside the scope of work agreed at kickoff rather than being open-ended, and work outside that scope is quoted separately. How to request a revision: • Send the marker's feedback or your own notes through your engagement dashboard or email. • The assigned mentor responds within 24 hours with a revision plan. • Revisions are completed within the timeline you agree with the mentor. If revisions cannot resolve the gap and the original brief was met on our side, the refund terms apply (see refund FAQ). If the deliverable falls short because the brief was not fully met, we revise free of charge until it is, no deadline restriction within the warranty window.

Scopus Q1/Q2 publishing advisory is MAAS's signature service for researchers, Master's, PhD candidates, and early-career academics aiming for top-quartile peer-reviewed journals. The advisory covers four stages: • Journal selection, target journals matched to your manuscript scope, impact factor goals, and realistic acceptance odds. • Structural review, alignment with the target journal's style, review criteria, and recent publication patterns. Includes IMRaD checks, methodology rigour, and contribution framing. • Response-to-reviewer coaching, when reviewer comments arrive, mentors help you address each point without compromising your argument or methodological position. • Submission strategy, timing, cover letter, suggested reviewers, ethics statement, and back-up journal sequencing if the first submission does not progress. Mentors on this track all have first-author Scopus Q1 / Q2 publications themselves. This is not a generic editing service, engagements run 8–16 weeks for first submission and through the full revision cycle.
